Avanti City
Vision
To build a new self governing smart city in the Kashmir valley with the aim to emerge as a world class city like Dubai, Bangalore and Singapore. The proposed area of the model smart city will be 100 sq km area. By the year 2030, the city will have a population of a million (10 lakhs) people, add 200,000 new jobs, generate billions of dollars in revenue.

The Avanti City will serve as a home for people all over India/world who will work and conduct business in Kashmir valley. This includes exiled Kashmiri minorities who were victims of genocide and exodus in 1990 and earlier. What Bangalore is to Karnataka or Mumbai is to Maharastra, The Avanti City will be to Kashmir, a true pan Indian cosmopolitian city in the backdrop of Kashmiri culture and character. The Avanti City will bring diversity and pluralism to the entire Kashmir valley,revive arts/entertainment and restore Kashmir's cultural heritage.

The Economic Hub
The Avanti City will have major special economic zones in the form of IT (aim to become the top IT hub in North India ), Chip Manufacturing (true silicon valley of Asia), MediCity (for medical tourism et al), educational hub with several colleges and universities. The will be complemented by malls/shopping districts/theme parks/modern housing together with the world class infrastructure fostering communication and connectivity. People from Kashmir from other districts and from the rest of India, and in some cases from different parts of the world will work in The Avanti City’s SEZs.
