Economic

Our proposal envisages the building of a model Smart City which is unique and seamlessly integrates all dimensions of human life. We envision this Smart City to be the future homeland of the displaced KPs. It is also our ardent belief that the new generation of KPs will return back to the valley only if they see adequate economic opportunities. Therefore the primary force behind the city would have to be the new economic and industrial centres. These can be developed as SEZ clusters. The intention is to develop a city that becomes a focal point of attraction, not just for Kashmiri Pandits across the World but also for expatriates.

The city will be powered by technology and will keep a sharp focus on being environmentally sustainable. It is our goal to make private transportation redundant and provide public transportation at an arm's length of desire.

The creation of such a city will require the consent and the willingness of the top echelons of the country. The PMO will need to be lobbied so that the exercise is driven top-down. The PMO will have to put together a team that gets the industry bodies and the government machinery working together to drive this task in a time-bound manner.
